Commissioner Vaughn Begick has filed for re-election to the Bay County Board of Commissioners in the 3rd District this year. Sadly, Vaughn is the only Republican on the Commission. As your Commissioner Vaughn has been able to place a freeze on any pay increases for the County Commissioners the past two years. We has tried to eliminate per diem pay for the Commissioners when attending other committee meeting, he will continue that effort. He has held the line on the County budget by avoiding filling new positions at the County Building. Veterans issues are important to Vaughn and he will continue his efforts to see that our veterans get the assistance they need. Vaughn needs our help and I would encourage all of you to attend his upcoming fundraiser.
Vaughn will be holding his fundraiser on 2/18/2008 at the LFA hall on Amelith Road. It will be a spaghetti dinner from 5 pm to 7:30 pm at a cost of $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.
